Will the recent Palin verdict that she abused power and violated state ethics laws affect the campaign?

I need to know if she is a prophet or a politician before casting my vote in a few weeks. Will the recent Palin verdict that she abused power and violated state ethics laws affect the campaign?
As with the issues, policies, and reality, her Republican fan club will simply ignore this or pass it off as ';unimportant'; or ';political,'; and expect people to simply accept it.

I find the hypocrisy of the situation rather entertaining. Had this come out about Biden it would have been all the Republicans would be talking about.

This is a real issue that you should consider when deciding who to vote for. The leader of the free world should consider the needs of his or her country first, not a personal agenda or some vendetta.

The other answerers are right in that it is not a legal verdict. However, it is a detailed finding after an extensive investigation.

And also, I believe this issue was being looked into before her nomination for VP. So that argument doesn't work. Will the recent Palin verdict that she abused power and violated state ethics laws affect the campaign?
Not really. If you love her, your will note that no criminal charges are being filed (not yet anyway - I would not do it until after the elections if they are even considered). If you don't like her, you will note that she was found to have abused her power and violated Alaska State ethics. Maybe a few of the independents left undecided by this information will be swayed, but I think how a lot of the undecided (and even some ';decide'; democratic voters) actually vote is more a function of Obama's race. If he were white and the vote was only about issues and character, Obama would win by a land slide. The GOP is putting the fear/smear to work whispering he is Muslim, un-American, white-hating bigot out there because they have no strong issues. They actualy did this to McCain in SC before to support bBush (said McCain had an illegitamate blck child when it was an adopted child of Asian descent). The GOP (McCain was feeding intro it until his poll numbers dropped even more) wants to put out a ';misperception'; people who don't want to vote for a highly intelligent, hard working, mainstream black man can hide behind. An excuse. Obama is Christian, an American citizen, well-educated at Harvard, was 8 years old when the person he knew as a college professor committed acts of terror (an 8 yr old knows nothing of the Weather underground, people don't do background checks on college professors, board members and such - McCain even missed Palins stupid antics with trooper-gate';).

Having said that, I like McCain and could have voted for him before he slated to the extreme right instead of embracing a moderate agenda and brought Palin is who is clearly only qualified (by both education and experience) to bring him coffee in the morning. If he dies (much more likely than Obama), the country would be screwed with her in charge. I Obama dies, Biden can handle things just fine. I would vote for Obama BECAUSE he brought in a highly unqualified VP. If this were not the case, why hide her and say no interviews (whoops, looks bad we will give you 2 interviews)?

Obama should definitely consider McCain for Secretary of Defense if he wins. He would be great and would really fight for the troops. I'm sure McCain will always give Obama his honest opinion (whether he wants it or not!) and this would signal that Obama wants a bipartisan approach to governing.
She was not a defendant in a trial in court. Therefore there was no ';verdict.'; Some left wing liberal loonies in the state legislature offered an opinion. I think the trooper should have been fired.
She is alleged to have committed an ethics violation. There has not been a trial to render a conviction, And no verdict has been handed down.
Palin put herself on the edge of an ethics law but from what I heard she actually broke no law.I see it as a political deal from her detractors.Believe me those folk would be pressing charges if they thought they could.
There has been no verdict. Scary to think that the fate of this country may lie in the votes of the misinformed.
