Not to state the obvious, but wouldn't it make more sense to base a campaign on issues and not anger?

The election is less than a month away and the economy is the #1 issue on everyone's mind.

Having said that, wouldn't it make more sense to cater a campaign towards why you would do better on (insert issue here) than your opponent instead of resorting to inciting anger and fear?

Thoughts?

I agree. Even my mother, who's 76 is saying that she is not going to vote for McCain anymore, because he's being just insulting Obama, while we're facing this great economic disaster...and believe me, I'm going to vote for Obama, but I couldn't convinced her...McCain helped me to convince her with his negativism!!!Not to state the obvious, but wouldn't it make more sense to base a campaign on issues and not anger?
And just what are they capable of doing better? Better than destroying the economy? They have already done that. Better than destroying the military? Do not think they could much more without risking a revolt. The PNAC has pretty much screwed this country up every which way it could. If the people did not stand up they would have screwed up many peoples Social Security programs as well.
WELL WHEN YOU REALLY LOOK AT THE REAL PICTURE THEN YOU REALIZE AYRES, FANNY, FREDDY, VOTES AGAINST REFORM! ACORN AND OBAMAS VOTING FRAUD! COME ON MAN! WATCH JUST PART OF THIS! 800,000 IN CONTRIBUTIONS FROM OBAMA TO ACORN! HE TRAINED ACORN PEOPLE! YOU SHOULD GET IMFORMED!
not to belabor the point but to campaign on issues first you must identify the issues and second it is helpful if you have some opinion concerning the issues. this level of engagement takes years to develop. twenty something days just wont get it. tmm
of course my friend. that would make sense wouldn't it. but when one party continues to lie and incite unnecessary anger on the other party, then the other party must defend itself.
If the issues that you stand for that will not get many votes (the wealthy are out numbered about 99 to 1), then it degrades to a GOP charade.
Yes.

We want to hear how higher corporate taxes will help to create jobs and how will they increase the value of company stock on our 401k accounts.
Makes sense to me, but neither major candidate gets the picture.
Hitler's rise to power was based on the same type of Fascism that we are seeing right now from McCain's campaign. I'm seriously scared of them.
Exactly. Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers are great examples of this, and more people should be aware.
Nope because I'm a supporter of Obama. They are helping him to win.
