Purely political on McCain's part. I think he thinks by doing this, people will think he really cares about the economy. I think it was a stupid thing to do. First off, before people start flaming, i dont support mccain or obama. I just like to see fairness in facts.
Mccain has spent 26 years campaiging on deregulation (or slight regulation) and free market economics. If he supports the bailout, then his past will be a lie. He would lose the key conservative republicans.
Liberal democrats like obama have long done this. They support pumping tax dollars into programs that are intrusive on the people. No one is surprised that a democrat supports the bail out.
I do not believe mccain can do only one thing at a time. his background of being on numerous committees show that he can mange this.

McCain's running was just another irrational decision he made while in one of his ';manic states';. If McCain could have a do-over,now that his medication has kicked in, I'm sure that he would not have ran for the Presidency, he should now be asking his campaign manager and supporters, how in the hell did they allow him go this far.
Actually, McCain is DOING HIS JOB -- he is still an elected, paid-by-the-taxpayers SENATOR until elected president. Obama, on the other hand, is RUNNING from his job as senator -- ';If you need me, call me.';

B Hussein Obama isn't even sure what is happening in this country. He is as bad as a person living in Detroit or Cleveland (in the ghetto). They are all disconnected from America as we know it. Everyone I know is doing awesome! Buying new cars, boats, houses, and not going in debt.
I don't know but I'm just gonna throw my opinions out here for you. Obama is the better candidate in my opinion mainly because he is against the war. We are so far into debt it's going to take years to get us out. Innocent lives are lost. We no longer are respected world wide. Countries hate us. We need to get our reputation back.
Because Obama is a Democrat and McCain is a Republican.
Here's an idea: We can reschedule the debates. We can have seven of them. And give McCain the home advantage. Literally: Let's have the debates at McCain's houses!
McCain's just trying to buy some time because he's scared to battle Obama tomorrow, also wants to buy more time for his idiot VP candidate next week. They both are inferior to Obama and Biden and the debates will show exactly that.
Because McCain is more influential in the bailout, and needs more time to focus. Obama is an arrogant rookie, and his opinion means nothing close to McCain's in this particular issue.
He hasn't really done anything as a politician before - what makes you think he's focusing on bailout? The only thing he's concerned about is raising money for his campaign, gaining votes, and making McCain and/or Palin look bad.

Exactly! Multi-tasking is something that is essential to the presidency. They say the synapses do not work as fast with age.
McCain is not as competent, or able, as Obama.
Because McCain cannot multitask. Therefore he is not fit to be president. He should do us all a favor and just drop his entire campaign.

No, if necessary all the debates will be rescheduled for a few days later. That's all. It's not a big deal. Certainly not as big a deal as the entire credit market crashing here in the US.
Neither one of them can, but I suspect Obama doesn't want any part of the solution, while McCain feels he must be part of the solution.
