Why does God have to run a smear campaign against Satan?

Can't he let Lucifer defend himself? What's with all the ad hominem attacks?

God is Satan. It's all one big illusion.





Then again neither exist so I'm good.Why does God have to run a smear campaign against Satan?
I've often asked that question myself - if Satan is so clearly, demonstrably bad, why do we have to keep being told so? And why is it that, down through the ages, Satan is so thoroughly bad, and has been proved so again and again, are so many people apparently willing to be seduced by him?

if God created everything including famines, tsunamis, earthquakes, diseases, and endless suffering -- what can the devil or satan possibly do to top that? Is the Bible God in a position to point fingers?
Oh Satan was proven guilty. The evidence was clear.
It's just like with Goldstein in ';1984.'; Everyone blames him - nobody has ever seen him.
The only thing Satan did wrong (if he actually existed) was that he refused to bend over time and time again. So would I.
